About Me

Hi there! I’m Bryan Anthonio. I’m a software developer who enjoys crafting elegant, user-friendly web applications.

My journey into software development began during my high school years when I discovered a C programming book on my dad’s shelf. It didn’t take long before I was captivated by the idea of telling a computer what to do through code.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside of coding and web development I enjoy

  • Landscape photography. Exploring the outdoors and taking photos is one my favorite pastimes. 📷
  • Blogging here or writing in my journal. Writing sharpens my focus. ✍🏾
  • Sci-fi books, movies, and TV shows. My favorite series is The Expanse. 🚀
  • Seeing new places around the world. I hope to visit Iceland, New Zealand, and Switzerland in the future. 🌍

The Grad School Chapter

Before embarking on my software engineering career, I studied physics at Cornell University, aspiring to become a professor.

I later obtained a Master of Science in Applied Physics at Rice University, focusing on the optical properties of single-walled carbon nanotubes using ultrafast spectroscopy.

While my original plan was to complete a PhD and enter academia, I eventually realized that this path wasn’t the best long-term fit for me.
